What information may be collected

Depending on the information you choose to provide, we may collect information about:

• dietary preferences and food restrictions;
• eating patterns and nutrition goals;
• physical activity or exercise information;
• weight-related information or goals;
• glucose-related, metabolic, or blood-sugar-related goals or information;
• wellness and healthy-eating goals;
• foods, meals, ingredients, portions, or other nutrition information you provide; and
• health- or nutrition-related preferences, signals, scores, or other insights that may be inferred from your answers.

Some of this information may be considered consumer health data or sensitive personal information under applicable state privacy laws.

How we will use this information

DST may use the information you provide to:

• personalize FoodQualityGuide and KarbCoach information to your stated goals and preferences;
• generate food, nutrition, Food Integrity, Longevity, goal-related, and other educational insights;
• customize questionnaire, website, or app results and recommendations;
• save your preferences and personalization information if you create or use a DST/KarbCoach account;
• maintain and provide features you request;
• protect accounts, detect abuse or fraud, and maintain the security and reliability of our Services; and
• evaluate and improve the reliability and quality of the Services consistent with our Privacy Policy.

The information and results provided by DST are for informational and educational purposes and are not medical diagnosis or treatment.

Who may process this information

DST may allow service providers acting on our behalf to process information when reasonably necessary to provide the Services you request.

These providers may include:

• cloud hosting, database, and storage providers;
• artificial-intelligence and machine-learning service providers used to generate requested analyses;
• authentication, account-security, and fraud-prevention providers;
• communications providers; and
• other technical service providers that process information for DST in connection with operating and securing the Services.

DST does not sell consumer health data.

DST does not use identifiable consumer health data for third-party targeted advertising.

DST does not authorize third-party general-purpose AI providers to use identifiable health-related questionnaire, website, or app responses to train their general-purpose models unless DST separately discloses that practice and obtains any consent required by law.

If you have not created an account

If you provide this information through a questionnaire, website, or app before creating an account, your answers may temporarily be associated with your browser, device, session, or another temporary identifier so that we can provide the questionnaire, website, or app experience and personalization you requested.

If you later create a DST/KarbCoach account, the questionnaire, website, or app information you choose to save may be associated with your account.

If you do not create an account, DST will retain the pre-registration information only as reasonably necessary for the questionnaire, website, or app process, security, fraud prevention, and other purposes described in our Privacy Policy, after which it will be deleted or de-identified according to our retention practices.

Your choice

Providing health-related questionnaire, website, or app information is voluntary.

You may choose Not Now instead of providing this information. You can still browse publicly available FoodQualityGuide content, although personalized results and some KarbCoach features may be unavailable or less personalized.

Withdrawing consent and your privacy rights

You may withdraw your consent to future collection or processing covered by this consent and may request access to or deletion of applicable consumer health data as provided by applicable law.

You may also use any privacy or account controls DST makes available through its websites or KarbCoach.

Withdrawing consent does not require DST to undo processing that occurred lawfully before your withdrawal, but DST will stop future collection or processing based on the withdrawn consent to the extent required by applicable law.
